ABOUT SEABORN ENTERTAINMENT

In his hometown of Portland, Oregon, Christian Seaborn originally became a part of the entertainment industry as a theater actor at the age of 10, having been inspired to perform following an impromptu "performance" singing the song Hello, Dolly in person with the great Louis Armstrong when Armstrong had come to Portland to give a concert.

After a theater career in the Pacific Northwest over the ensuing nine years (acting, writing, producing, directing and stage managing a total of over 18 productions), at the age of 19 Christian embarked for Hollywood where he appeared on what would now be considered classic national network television shows (including RHODA and WKRP IN CINCINNATI (for MTM (Mary Tyler Moore) Entertainment / CBS Television); ALICE (for Warner Brothers Studios / CBS Television); ANGIE (Paramount Studios / ABC Television) and others) as well as performing in live theater in various Los Angele venues.

Taking a break from the national arena, he relocated to Reno, Nevada where he still could not "escape" the entertainment arena. In Reno he both continued appearing in a host of live theater productions as well as working as a producer for KTVN-TV, the CBS Network Affiliate for Northern Nevada.

In 2008, he returned to both the national and international entertainment arenas. Back in Hollywood his work continued with the television series LAS VEGAS (Universal Studios / NBC Television Network) and an appearance on a Subway Super Bowl commercial. He then was coaxed to London, England to be the headline performer in a series of tv commercials for the England brand, Chicago Town Pizza. Back in LA, for 6 years he founded and ran In-A-Flash Website Designs before returning to Reno in the fall of 2008.

Living in semi-retirement, Christian picked up his pen (so-to-speak) and began writing a number of projects. On the side, he also discovered an affinity for playing video poker. Becoming a strategic player. (In one three hour session (June 28, 2020) at a Northern Nevada casino he achieved the unheard of in video poker. He was dealt 106 Royal Flushes. The odds of which, according to AI mathematical calculations, is 1-In-274.9 Quadrillion.)

He has now written and published (as an e-book across 11-platforms and in 7 different languages (English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, French, Greek and Portuguese)) PLAYING GREAT VIDEO POKER by Christian Seaborn. His next book is DECEIT FROM WITHIN by Christian Seaborn. For 45 years Christian and his family dealt with and survived terrifying domestic abuse. DECEIT FROM WITHIN is the telling of his family's harrowing surviving told from the perspective to be a self-help book for others, adults and children, who themselves might be caught in a web of living nightmares.

About to embark on a month long national tour to promote these and other projects, Christian has created Seaborn Entertainment as an umbrella organization for both his writing efforts and his well-founded performing skills.

DEREK & ME

In the fall of 1975 a 9-year-old boy, Derek James Bennett, latched on to 19-year-old Christian Seaborn. For the two of them, it became a unique sort of "big brother-little brother" friendship.

Several years later, when Derek was 16 and in trouble with the law and at odds with his family, teenaged Derek turned to his unique friendship with the now 24-year-old Christian in the fall of 1981.

The law had mistreated Derek and other juveniles in the little town of St. Helens, Oregon. Locking Derek and the other teens up with adults for petty infractions. Like running away from home. Not only was this against the law, but in the process impressionable Derek witnessed an adult prisoner make a serious and grusome suicide attempt.

A class-action lawsuit on behalf of the juveniles was filed.

Both the law and Derek's mother and step-father wanted to lock Derek up until he was 21-years-old so as not to have the boy testify in the case. Desperate for a solution, Derek turned to Christian on Thanksgiving night of 1981.

Figuring that the only solution was that he should become legally responsible for the boy, Christian applied for and fought for legal custody of the boy. And was granted full custody (and responsibility) for the boy.

The class-action lawsuit moved forward. The case of DB (for Derek Bennnett) vs Tewksbury would, with the ultimate decision in an Oregon Federal Court, become the landmark decision of the century addressing and protecting children while in the custody of the law. A case that is still looked to and quoted nationally over 44 years later.

A historical fiction

(From the Prologue)

NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND – MONDAY, 19 OCTOBER 1330

“Traitors! Traitors!”

It would be the last thing the man said, a spiked ball of steel being implanted deep into the man’s skull, brain matter and blood spewing forth from the left side of his head as the mace had been forcefully driven in and then yanked out.

It had not even been twenty minutes earlier – near midnight – when this small band of knights had made their way along the side of the huge rock, Castle Rock, on which atop stood the mighty Nottingham Castle. Twenty knights in total, not even two dozen, were on their way to accomplish the unthinkable military mission: to kidnap the ruthless dictator and traitor who had been running and destroying England for three years.

It was a dark, damp, windy and cloud filled October night in middle England.

The Story of FRIENDS FOREVER

In real life, the historical account of what happened that October night in the year 1330 was that a brave band of knights loyal to the Crown and led by Sir William de Montagu set out to kidnap Sir Roger Mortimer who, in essence, had kidnapped the teenaged true King of England, King Edward. For three years Mortimer, with Edward under lock and key, had been running and plundering England for his own evil desires.

But on this night, de Montagu was determined to put an end to it, rescue the boy King and put him back on the throne in London where he was meant to rule. It was a brave and dangerous undertaking in English history.

In FRIENDS FOREVER, Seaborn has taken the real historical facts and brilliantly added unique modern day twists.

Jason Martindale is living a normal, relatively quiet life in Seattle, Washington in 2015 with his wife and teenaged son, Andy. In the course of his unexciting work for the City of Seattle he comes across a picture - a very old drawing - of a once famous royal palace in England. Sheen Palace. For some reason that Jason cannot explain, he knows this Sheen Palace. Jason has never been (or so he believes) to England. And yet, he "knows" this Sheen Palace.

Over dinner, he shares this information with his now older mother who goes white at the mention of the name Sheen Palace. She relays a story to Jason from Jason's childhood. When Jason had been five-years-old he had asked his parents to tell him all about a place called Sheen Palace.

With further conversation with his family the unthinkable and unbelievable slowly dawns on Jason: he has been reincarnated. He "knows" Sheen Palace because he was there. 700 years earlier. It had been the location where de Montagu had taken his band of knights to plan their assault on Castle Rock.

However, not only has de Montagu been reincarnated, but so has his former foe. Sir Roger Mortimer is also alive again and, for the moment, has the upper hand. He knows who he was. He knows who Jason was and he is out for revenge on the man who cost him not only ruling England, but who then had him executed in 1330.

In the exciting climax, Jason's son Andy plays a key role in defeating Mortimer. Which is only natural. As it turns out, Mortimer and de Montagu are not the only ones who have been reincarnated from 1330. Andy was there too. Although at that time, he was not de Montagu's son (as he is Jason's son), but rather he was de Montagu's closest friend and right-hand man in engineering those plans to save England in October of 1330.

The adventure begins to roll out on July 16th from Reno, Nevada, aboard the world-renowned California Zephyr. First stop: Chicago.

This July and August book promotional adventure has additional planned journeys from Chicago north to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The latter part of the trip will return Christian to the west coast as that is where his book, DECEIT FROM WITHIN: A FAMILY'S FIGHT FOR SAFETY, unfolded in both Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon.

Taking Amtrak's scenically wonderful and magnificent Coast Starlight, Christian has promotional stops planned in Seattle. (The sailing part of the book unfolds in Seattle. Christian's family was a major force in the development of sailing in Seattle - where as a boy he sailed many times aboard his family's 62' racing yacht, the Circe...a featured portion of the book.) Then onward south on the Coast Starlight to Christian's hometown of Portland, Oregon where the bulk of DECEIT FROM WITHIN takes place and where the Hollywood actor went to school at the Oregon Episcopal School (OES) in the Portland area.

Back on the Coast Starlight, he will head south to the historic (and often used in movies) Union Station in Los Angeles and then from LA (and back on Amtrak) further south to San Diego.

This summer journey celebrates the unmatched beauty of the United States, made possible by Amtrak, a true national treasure for over half-a-century.
